Home is where the Adventure lives...

Nathans World Tour may be pau (finished) but the spirit of curiosity, adventure, and exploration continue... Fortunately my home is a place where fun weekend adventure opportunities abound.  It might not sound as exotic as gallivanting some place 10,000 miles away but, chances are, Kauai is 10,000 miles away for some of you!  Here's a few pics of "normal" summertime life on The Garden Isle...

Some say Home is where the Heart is.... I like to think of Home as where the Adventure lives!

Hiking the Na Pali ("The Cliffs") Coast showing its majesty.

The Skies the Limit!

Hanging my tobies (Japanese reef walkers) over the edge - it's a 1,000 foot drop into the blue Pacific below!

Living on the Edge!
My mom all costumed up for her hula performance

Just another waterfall to cool off in during a hot day

Longboard waves with my hapai (pregnant) friend Becky Hamilton.  Best friend Noah (her husband) is behind the lens.

The Cave of Wonders!

Soaking up life at our secret summer sandbar
Looking down upon the Na Pali from above... Koke'e!

Home.

My concoction for my friends "Crazy Hat" themed Birthday Party... Very appropriate don't you think :)

  1. HI Nathan. Love your Blog. I was searching for pics of reef walkers when I came across your blog. I recognized your name as that of someone (probably your dad) who used to run a tourist business using large black ribs. I was there mid 1980s and lived in a shack belonging to Hal and Merna on the road going down to Kalihiwai. I also spent some time working for John Kubekka who owned Lightning Marine as well as for Mike and Candice Strong on their farm as the farm mechanic. I would appreciate any news of the above folks if you have any contact with them,
    All the best
